Meet the Mermaid

 

 

Raised in Brazil, Nina always loved the water. She grew up laughing, swimming, surfing, and exploring - her first love was animals and the second was the water.

Safe to say, it was not shocking that upon meeting her first dolphin, she became enamored and stated that she too would work with them one day.

Though that always remained a dream, it seemed impossible when she moved to Switzerland for nearly a decade. So far from the coast, she spent her time reading. The books she chose often featured myths, legends, and magic. The same could be said for the tv shows and movies that she watched. As the years went by, that love for the mystical never faded.

Years later, after starting college in California,  she got a chance to live her dreams and work  with marine mammals. It was working at the aquarium and with guests that she  discovered how much she talking with guests and children.

Taking her passion for education and knowledge about ocean conservation, Nina decided to dawn a new name - and so Attina was born during the summer of 2017.

Though she did not know it at the time, her mission was and remains to teach and inspire others to care for our oceans and its inhabitants.
